Quality Assurance and Due Diligence

Our commitment to quality standards of competence of our first-aid trainers & courses. Medi Aid (UK) Ltd fully complies with the training quality standards required by the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 as amended and it’s supporting guidance

Medi Aid (UK) comply with the guidelines as set out by Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in its guidelines for first aid

Medi Aid (UK) Ltd also meet the requirements to be a training centre for a number of awarding organisations (see below).

 

Statement of Compliance

All trainers have a current FAW certificate or qualify for an exemption.

All trainers & assessors have an appropriate training & assessing qualification which meets the requirements of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE)

 

Quality Assurance

Medi Aid (UK) Ltd has a documented quality assurance plan designating an individual to take responsibility for quality assurance of first aid training, including assessment of the performance of trainers/assessors at least annually.

The designated persons have a current FAW certificate or qualify for an exemption.

The designated persons have assessing/verifying qualification.

Medi Aid has a documented course evaluation procedure

Medi Aid has a documented complaints procedure

 

Teaching currently accepted First-Aid practice

Medi Aid’s FAW / EFAW courses are taught in accordance with current guidelines on adult basic life support published by the Resuscitation Council (UK), and for other aspects of first aid, in accordance with current guidelines published guidelines that are supported by a responsible body of medical opinion

 

Training syllabus

Medi Aid’s FAW courses includes the syllabus stated by HSE in published guidance. The courses last at least 18 hours, over 3 days as recommended by HSE.

Medi Aid’s FAW requalification course includes the syllabus stated by HSE in published guidance. The courses last at least 12 hours, over two days.

Medi Aid’s EFAW course includes the syllabus stated by HSE in published guidance. The courses last at least six hours.

Medi Aid’s EFAW requalification is the same course as the EFAW above. The courses last at least six hours.

 

Certificates

Medi Aid’s certificates are issued to students assessed as competent contain the name Medi Aid (UK) Ltd, the title of the qualification (e.g. FAW or EFAW), reference to the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, the date of issue and confirmation the certificate is valid for three years.

 

Insurances Held

Medi Aid (UK) Ltd holds the following Insurances

• Employers Liability £10 million

• Public Liability £5 million

• Professional Indemnity £2 million

Medi Aid UK is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB)

Medi Aid (UK) is also registered with the following Awarding Organisations; Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.
