3 Day First Aid at Work training course (FAW) 

The aims and objectives of the First Aid at Work (abbreviated to FAW) training course, are to enable people to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency situation.

2 Day First Aid at Work refresher course (FAWREQ) 

The aims and objectives of the First Aid at Work (Requalification) training course are to update the candidate’s first aid skills and knowledge, and to enable people to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency situation. Each course is specifically designed depending on the candidate’s workplace.

Attendance on this course is open to holders of a valid First Aid at Work Certificate issued under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The current certificate should be in date before the refresher course starts. On successful completion a certificate will be issued under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

This Course is delivered over two days.

1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course (EFAW) 

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to enable the Emergency First Aider in a low risk environment in the workplace to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency. Health and Safety Regulations require that an employer provides suitable first aid arrangements for any persons injured in the workplace.

At the end of the course the candidate will be able to manage a casualty who is injured at work, or suffers a serious illness, while waiting for more qualified medical help to arrive. This course is delivered over one day and is assessed by the trainer.

This Course meets HSE requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work. A certificate is issued which is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Paediatric First Aid at training course (PFA) 

The Paediatric First Aid training course is designed for those responsible for looking after babies and children. By the end of the course you will be able to manage ill and injured babies and children.

This course meets the requirements of Ofsted as laid out in the Statutory Framework, Early Years Foundation Stage. This course is ideal for Childminders, Nurseries and those people working with 5 year olds and under needing Ofsted registration. The course requires involvement in both theory and practical sessions. This course is delivered over 12 hours. Courses are held at weekends, and on weekdays. This course is assessed by the trainer.

Paediatric Emergency First Aid for schools (PFA) 

 

For students to be to fulfil the role of an Paediatric Emergency First Aider as required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This covers the units required by the Statutory Early Years framework (Ofsted) for paediatric first aid and covers the requirements for HSE Approved emergency first aid at work.

The student should be able to Look after the first aid arrangements within the workplace/area, activate the Emergency Services and administer basic Emergency First Aid. The course will cover common childhood illness and accidents.
