AED Defibrillator Training

Our AED Defibrillator training course is designed to teach candidates how to recognise cardiac arrest and treat it using the AED defibrillator.

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is an automatic portable device which is applied to a person’s body. It reads the patient’s heart rhythm and advises whether or not a shock is needed. It is used to restore correct heart rhythm to patients in cardiac arrest.

This AED Defibrillator training course is a half day course for those who wish to learn about and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Areas covered include the safety precautions in using the AED, when and how to apply pads, when to defibrillate, the use of defibrillation and CPR, and the use of a Bag and Mask resuscitator.

Those attending for training should hold a current first aid certificate.
